I first want to acknowledge that taking steps to engage in the therapeutic process takes bravery and I am so excited that you are considering doing this work with me. I am a creative and adaptive therapist that sees ability and self determination in all people. I feel honored to be included in the journey of another person’s life and enjoy celebrating the complex beauty of each individual’s cultural, spiritual, sexual, gender, and racial identities. I see people as so much more than a diagnosis while holding space for how a diagnosis can give a name to what someone is experiencing.

 

I am a master level social worker and licensed independent clinical social worker. I have been working as a school social worker for the past eight years with clients with unique needs and developmental differences. I also have extensive experience working in the families involved in the child welfare system exploring their strengths and identifying how they want to parent differently through understanding and changing their narrative. I believe that individuals possess resilience and resourcefulness to live a full and more authentic life.

 

I use a blend of therapeutic approaches that are relational, person-centered and trauma-informed. I recognize that trauma presents itself in many forms .I enjoy working with people living life with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, post trauma stress, autism and other brain differences. . I love working with people with autism and other neurodiversities.

 

I love using humor and art in therapy sessions. I don’t take myself too seriously and love learning about others' intense interests and bringing those into our work together. I have received advanced training in trauma therapy and specializes in using AIR Network therapy also known as Anchored Relational Therapy.

 

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time exploring new recipes, finding adventures, creating things, and binge watching something!
